Any news about Microsoft's virtual pc apps?

I put the Windows 7 Release Candidate as a dual boot with Vista on my laptop, then installed Windows Virtual PC and XP Mode. I was happy to have no problems. Then decided to reinstall Win7 as a guest on the Win7 host OS, to see how well the new USB connectivity worked, and also to see whether now Microsoft's offering for virtualization supported the neat Aero effects of Win7. Great! It did!

You can see the result in this article on my web page (first screenshot):

Now my question: Has anybody found news on whether or not Microsoft plans to a) make Windows Virtual Pc available in the future for XP and Vista? and/or b) update Virtual Pc 2007 so it supports USB and Aero?

I can run Windows 7 as a virtual machine in a Windows XP host using Virtual Pc 2007, but the new Windows Virtual PC is supposed to be working only with Windows 7 as the host, not Vista or XP as the host.

oh... well that'll suck. I hope to get windows 7 as an actual os someday soon. But I dont want it on my main computer (its the only one that can run it) because once the RC or BETA or whatever is over I'll be stuck restarting it every 2 hours
