Virtualbox 3.2.8 - 2d acceleration box greyed out

3d is checked but I cannot check 2d in XPSP3 Machine settings. This was working before I reinstalled win7. Any ideas?

the help file says you need guest additions installed.

"The 2D video acceleration currently has the following preconditions:
    1. It is only available for Windows guests (XP or later).
    2. The Guest Additions must be installed.
    3. Because 2D support is still experimental at this time, it is disabled by default and must be manually enabled in the VM settings"

Thanks, it should be "checkable" BEFORE the guest additions 3d is installed. At least it was before I reinstalled win7.

BTW, I tried AFTER the guest additions and it is still greyed out
