Windows 7: XP Can't Initialize

XP Can't Initialize

I installed everything ok. I have an e8300 which is listed in the supported CPU's list. When I go to run it for the first time, I get this error

It then proceeds with the setup until it reaches the end and gives me the "can't initialize" error, or something like that.

I'm not sure if virtualization is enabled on my mobo, cause I can't find the option for it. I have an XFX 750i SLI. I've looked all over forums and manuals and no luck. Any help appreciated.

Thanks

G

Try going to the MS Windows Seven Forum then to the Virtualization section. I deleted the MS VPC and went back to VMware; just to many problems, and very slow.

XP mode is really only of use for a "pre-built" limited virtual machine to be used in a corporate environment with simple legacy apps only installed.

Performance wise you are MUCH MUCH better off using Vmware or Virtual Box.

The disadvantage here is that you will then need to source a copy of XP to install as your guest OS. XP mode comes with a copy of XP already installed.

Well, I do have a copy of XP, but I was wondering if VMware can do the kind of integration that Virtual Xp can. I have an input device that is not compatible with Windows 7. There has been no driver released for OS's later than XP. I works in the virtual machine, but can I access the device and use the XP driver virtually in my host machine?

Thanks
