| | XP mode doesnt recognize game USB New here tried searching for this but didnt find it. Recently installed Ultimate so I could get XP mode to run older programs (Autodesk for 1) Installed my Real Flight simulator (which didnt run right in 7 Home Premium) into XP mode. Problem is it will not recognize the interlink contoller plugged into the computer. It sees my printer but tells me when I try to open the program that it doesn't see an interlink and to check that is plugged in. The computer sees it as it makes its default sound when plugged in or unplugged. Tried putting it in the USB that the XP programs sees as a printer then reboot, No Joy! Any ideas?Skeet |

| | XP Mode is aimed at businesses, therefor XP Mode is not intended for games. But for older applications. Remember you have two Operating Systems running, so if Windows 7 sees the device that does not mean Windows XP will. One thing to try in the Virtual PC where Windows XP is running click on the tab USB, (At the Top) and see if that device is listed in there..if it is click it and see if you can run it that way. Again XP mode is not intended for games.. If not then you can try running it in Windows 7 (Did you try compatibility mode?) How old is the software? Hope this Helps, Ryan |

| | old The software is 2006, Yeah at USB port (up at the top) it only sees the printer. I wasnt aware that XP mode was not intended for games. I did have it installed in 7 home premium but it was jerky and so thats why I tried to give it a go in XP. Thanks for the reply. Skeet |

| | Your welcome, Try using compatibility mode, to do that locate the game on the desktop or in all programs (depending on where it is) and right-click on the game (icon) and go to properties, A window will pop-up and select the Compatibility tab and hit the check mark "Run this program in compatibility mode" and select Windows XP you can also disable some settings as well, play around with some of those settings to see if the game improves.
