Applcation won't install in XP mode

    Yeah I should be able at least to test it out... Its just if I download a demo then i am not sure I have same product you have.

    My bet is that,, TextBridge is just so old it probably doesn't support Visualization at all.

    I am not sure if any OCR apps would.

    OR, and possibly more likely, it is checking the Version of Windows and not seeing the correct version.

    ie. Install of Windows XP will be different than XP Mode.
    So the app checks, sees something that is not right with the version, and terminates.

    This is an issue with older apps. When everyone converted over to XP, people started wrting with Version checking, so that apps that were not compatible with 98SE, it wouldn't install, rather than installing and having support calls about it not working and vice versa.

    This is practice that has been abandoned (thankfully) for the most part.

    Issue Resolved


    Thanks to WindRider. Still not sure what the problem was, but the updated installer files sent to me did the trick.

    I wish I could give a more professional answer as to why to original files didn't work. I don't think the updated msi files had anything to do with Vista or Windows 7, since the files were created in 2003. Botton line is it worked...
