    Ownership


    I took ownership of desktop and after restart my all files in desktop have been forgotten. How can i restore my all files in desktop.

    Why did you took ownership of desktop ( C:\User\Username\Desktop) ? Is to necessary for you ? Secondly what forgotten clearly means .... what is the actual situation of the files ? Asking these questions, coz generally men dont take ownership of that folder .

    Anyway , if you have a System Restore to an earlier time than you took that ownership, it would be reverted .

    Arc is right, use a restore point. The safe way to use take ownership is for individual files.
