Hi all
Even with an OEM copy of Windows XP you CAN install a Windows XP Virtual Machine using vmware, vbox etc. The Virtual software choice is yours of course.

Note that activation of the OEM XP virtual machine will probably fail BUT --NOT NECESSARILY -- this depends on the similarity of the "Virtual Hardware" to the original machine the XP system was installed on.

Sometimes the system will actually activate -- the virtual hardware is often based on a typical bog standard GIGABYTE INTEL CHIP type MOBO with a Soundblaster type of soundcard. Fairly common hardware during the period when XP was in its heyday.

However you will get 30 days in any case before you HAVE to activate so this might be long enough for you to test your application. You can keep re-installing XP of course.

Cheers
