    DVD43 Doesnt detect dvds

I use to use DVD43 and Handbrake to backup my dvds at home. Since I updated to my 64 bit os (windows 7 pro), I have been unable to use DVD43 as it does not support 64 bit, and therefore cannot decode the dvds to brun. I love the DVD43/handbrake combo, but find other combos/programs rather annoying. To remedy this I installed XP mode, but after installing handbrake and DVD43 onto this I found that DVD43 was not automatically decoding the DVD, even though windows xp could see it in My Computer.

Does anyone have experience with this, or know why my approach is not working? I would really appreciate any help.

That is the exact site I looked at which got me onto XP Mode. Unfortunately it does not work like it did for the guy who replied for me, and I would rather stick with DVD43 and Handbrake than any of those programs suggested after the main answer (If possible).

Yes, well I would love to give virtual box a try, unfortunately we have a data cap with out internet and downloading a whole OS when my parents only allow us to get 10gb a month (Thats a max of ~330mb per day....*mad face*) is a tad impractical. I will do that if thats what it comes down to, but is there a way of making this work with what I have? Could I use the copy of windows xp I downloaded for use with Microsoft Virtual PC in Virtual box?

This is why I asked that :P. And yes, XP mode seems to have many flaws at the moment, for example dvd43 didnt detect dvds and minecraft can't start openGL. But yeah, Im using DVD Decoder on windows 7 64 bit and its great, its actually better than dvd43 as I just make a copy of the whole Video_ts file then I can make as many copys/versions with as many settings as I want without needing the dvd.
