Do I Need XP mode and Virtual on W7

Hi,
I have just built my first computer, and am not sure if I need XP mode and or virtual mode on the windows 7 ultimate OS.

My old computer has XP OS and I would like to have all my old files including
some programs that run well on XP to be able to use on the new computer.

I have the windows OS on a 60GB SSD vertex 3 with a few drivers and IE8 also
Outlook 10.

I have a 240gb SSD vertex2 which I can put new programs on also if I need to
put the XPmode and virtual PC on, or have these got to be installed on the OS
drive?
I have 3 hdd 1x300 and 2 X 600gb which I want to use for video and storage

All these discs including the two SSD are formated as NTFS.

The 60gb SSD has 20gb free the 240GB has 220gb free

The HDD are not used as yet.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thanks

you don't need to install XPMode if all your HW/SW you use are operating fine in Windows 7. Just try it.
If not, then it's time to evaluate XPMode.
