Windows 7 - How do I uninstall a program from XP Mode and run it in Win7 only?

I have Windows 7 Professional 32 bit. I have a retail management program that I began running in XP Mode because of hardware compatibility in Windows 7 with the receipt printer, card scanner, etc. I have recently purchased new hardware that is Windows 7 compatible and need to now move from the XP Mode environment to only Windows 7. My software vendor will not provide support as long as I'm running the software in XP Mode and we, unfortunately are in need of their support at the moment. I am just wanting to verify that all I need to do is to uninstall the software while in XP Mode from the Control Panel - after I back up the database of course - and then simply install the software in Windows 7. Is that correct? Will I also need to uninstall the virtual machine since the retail software is the only program we were utilizing the VM for? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

If the program itself fully supports running in Windows 7, then you could install it in Windows 7 first to make sure it is running properly first. If it works properly, then you could just uninstall XP Mode and Windows Virtual PC. When you uninstall XP Mode, it will remove the program with it as well automatically, so there's no need to uninstall the program in XP Mode first then XP Mode.

Thanks, I appreciate the quick reply. Unfortunately, I won't be able to test it in Windows 7 before uninstalling it in XP Mode because of the way the user licenses are handled by the vendor. However, the vendor fully supports it when running it in the Windows 7 environment so if I have any problems they've assured me they will be able to help me work through them. Thanks again.
