| | Windows activation error - VHD Hello, I was able to complete the steps for the VHD. When I try to activate Windows (on the VHD) I get this error: 0x80070017 found this link: Windows 7 installation error code: 0x80070017 - Microsoft Answers Link does not resolve my issue. Please help. |

Please help. Are you creating the VHD from windows virtual PC or some other virtual program? Also, what version of windows did you try to install on the vhd? I have had problems with some dvd's having a small area with dirt or some crud on it and after washing the dvd and drying it with a clean t-shirt, it then worked fine. Rich |

You might take a look at this article PC Deployment with ImageX - O'Reilly Media regarding deployment of imagex vhd's. You have used sysprep also? rich |
