1 VM on 2 PCs?

I have a desktop and a laptop. The desktop specs are listed on my System Specs. Some remotely related laptop specs:

8 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 RAM
Intel Core i7 740 QM
AMD/ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650

Both are running Windows 7 Ultimate x64, dual booted with Kubuntu Linux x64. Would it be possible to have a single VM running on both machines such that its guest OS thinks it is running on an 8-core, 16-threaded CPU? (Both PCs are connected to the same LAN)

No, there is not. But if you can get a dual quad core server, or dual hexcore server you can do it. Our Dell R710's with dual hexcores, have 12 cores and 24 threads.
