| | Can't access shared folder on server on the same workgroup as virtual Hi, From virtual xp guest I can't access a shared folder on server 2003 machine. I can access it from windows 7 host. The Host, virtual xp, and server are all on the same workgroup. Please help! |

| | When you try to get to the File Via XP are you browsing or Trying Direct connection ie: \\192.168.0.2 I have always found XP to be a Pain in the arse when it came too networking folders. Just tries to go Via Entire Network and came up with nothing, but as Soon as i done \\192.168.0.4 I was in faster than you can say BOO! |

| | I can reach it via a direct connection \\192.168.1.130 however it does not direct connect when I use the DNS server name ie \\servername when I use \\192.168.1.130 it make me provide a user name and password :/ it should recognize DNS and automatically authenticate |
