Virtual XP deleting files

Hi

I have Windows 7 64-bit running XP mode in virtual PC. For some strange reason when I navigate to a shared drive from the Virtual PC it deletes files in certain folders (eg set up file for Adobe Reader). If you restore the file using Windows backup the file will appear for a couple of seconds then disappear again. The files do not appear in the recycle bin. Has anybody else come across this?

I have reinstalled Virtual XP and am sure this didnt happen the first time
