Windows 7 - In XP Mode program cannot access database on network

In XP Mode program cannot access database on network

We cannot map a network drive to run a DB prog in XP Mode. Our integration settings show all our drives and we can access them directly through 'My Computer.' We have tried all the settings in the network settings and our host's nic will give us a 'Destination host unreachable,' when we ping to the host (or anywhere on the network, for that matter), whereas all the other network settings (NAT, internal) give us a time out when pinging. Is there a solution to this issue?
