Using .vhd file from one virtual machine to other virtual machine

Hi,

I am using MS Virtual PC v6.1.7600.16393.

I had created a virtual machine on my system, which has been deleted now, but I have .vhd file created for that virtual machine.

Now I am trying to create a new virtual machine by using the previous .vhd file.

Unfornunatly, when I start this newly created virtual machine, it asks to Insert Boot Media in selected Boot Device.

I want to retrive few of my data stored in previously created virtual machine.

Could any one help me here?

Hi fafhrd,

Thanks for reply. I used 7z to open .vhd file. After extraction it gives me .mbr file. I am still not able to fetch my data from this .mbr file.

Your help would be precious to me.

With Regards,
AshishV
