Msoft Virtual PC - cannot see that I have any usb ports

    Msoft Virtual PC - cannot see that I have any usb ports


    The virt pc is totally unaware that there are any pc ports so when I plug in a usb flash drive nothing happens (my base pc picks it up though).

    Any ideas?

    HI,

    Thanks for the above but I don't have the USB drop down box. I did however click on the tools box and clicked on the install integration components (which looks like it might help) but it wouldn't work as i says the below:

    This video card needs to be able to support directx v9 or newer.

    I have a mobile intel (r)4 series express chipset and from a pdf on line I think (?) that it supports directx v10.

    Any more ideas?

    Apart from installing the latest chipset and graphics drivers from the Intel website I don't think I can help.

    USB works on mine with or without Integration Features enabled.

    From what I've read the your graphics supports DirectX 10, but if you want to double check download Speccy - Portable from here Speccy - Builds. Extract and run, click Graphics on the left and look for DirectX Support on the right.
