okay, suprisingly, 'virtual dimesion' 0.94, latest update was in 2005
actually works on windows 7 quite well and has unlimited 'virtual desktop' support.
go figure, if any-one can find something better, post it here, but yeah.
Virtual Dimension is the link to it.
tested on windows 7 ultimate 32bit build 7068.

I think the lack of a powerful shell like bash in Linux, built in ssh functionality and the lack of virtual desktops are huge glaring omissions in Windows 7.

I am truly surprised esp about the virtual desktops. I dont see how that can be a problem any more for Microsoft especially considering the whole desktop experience is now being rendered in the graphics card.

I used Vista/XP Virtual Desktop Manager - Home on my build, everything runs fine. I haven't used it recently though.

Eats up like 300 megs though =/

    Virtual Desktop Manager

I tried Crystal Desktop. Works well... Besides it has visual effects like in Windows 7) CRYSTAL DESKTOP :: The Best Windows Virtual Desktop Manager. Multi Desktop Switcher.
