Removal of Windows Virtual XP Mode, need xpminstl64.msi installer.

I have Windows 7 Professional 64bit installed and had downloaded Windows Virtual Drive onto which I had installed XP Home SP3 in order to run some older programs. I no longer need these so wish to remove the Virtual Drive.

In Control Panel, Programs I tried to uninstall my Virtual XP Drive but was unable as I did not have the instal file xpminstl64.msi.

A Google search resulted in the fact that this file is not available and many posts recommend just deleting the folders;

xpminstl64.msi is included in Windows XP Mode package.

If it cannot be uninstalled from Program and Features, please try to delete the following folders.

1. %systemdrive%\Users\Yourname\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Virtual PC\Virtual Machines
2. C:\Program Files\Windows XP Mode

Something I am wary of doing. I could try to reinstall from the MS website but I may still not be able to uninstall if the installer is not installed on my system to be used to uninstall. IF you get my meaning

Any suggestions?
