    Hello t-4-2,

XP Mode is just a ready made XP virtual machine for Windows Virtual PC. You would still also be able to create your own virtual machine in Windows Virtual PC to run in Windows 7 like you would with any other VM program like Virtualbox or VMWare Player. You could then install the integration features in the virtual machine to be able to share files between the virtual machine and Windows 7.

    Hope this helps,
    Shawn

    Thank you.

Right now I am using your tutorial :
VMware Player - Install Windows 8 Consumer Preview - Windows 8 Forums

Downloading Win 8 32-bit Preview to desktop.... as your tutorial instructed... step #1.
Next will be the VMware Player install.
If I run into road blocks, I'll come back to haunt you. :)

If it's any help to you, I have installed Windows Vista under Virtual PC and it works fine.

Na, after the ISO is finished downloading, you would just save it to were you would like to keep it at. When you are setting up Vmware Player, you would just browse to and select the ISO from where you saved it at.
