VMware Player 4 & Workstation 8 Error 1920 or MSI failed at install

Hi all

I have been trying for the past couple of hours to install either VMware Player 4 or Workstation 8 and keep getting the same error on both of them.

I've tried some of the stuff on the VMware website like regedit and deleted the temp folder and that but it doesn't seem to work for me.

Could someone please help I need this software to help me with my studies.

I have also tried the Microsoft fix as well with no luck.

cheers

Found a fix for the problem I was having... Hope this is helpful.

go into your registry by typing into search bar regedit

then do ctrl + F to search for
WindowsDisabledSessions

Now you want to save a copy of this first go to file then export then name it what you want it to be I just named it windowsdisabledsessions to make it easy

then after that just hit the delete key and then run your program and it should install just fine

If you have any questions please contact me on
