Windows 7: XP Mode issues and questions.

XP Mode issues and questions.

Since I started using XP Mode a couple of months ago I have found 3 issues which I would appreciate comments on.
I have found solutions to all of them but they have proved to be only temporary and I am looking for more permanent ones as well as possible causes.

My monitor resolution is 1920x1080 and I run XP Mode in a window 1600x900.

The first issue is only minor: I keep getting a folder appear in the Host's Start Menu containing shortcuts to all the XP Mode applications. I have no use for this and simply delete it but sooner or later it comes back.
Is there any way to stop this reappearing, perhaps by editing the registry?

The second issue is a slightly bigger one: The VM has a habit of freezing, I can still use the mouse in the VM but cannot do anything with it. This usually happens when I am installing/updating software in the VM.
To start with the only way out of this I could find was to click on the close button (the buttons top left, Tools etc, do nothing in this situation) hibernate the VM and restart it, unfortunately this invariably caused the third issue which I will come to.
The solution I have found is to click the maximise button for full screen and then return to the usual window, this resets the VM and unlocks it without causing further issues. I am aware that with some software you get a 'Cannot install from a remote location' warning which can be overcome by disabling the Integration Features, installing and then re-enabling them. I have received that warning several times myself but not at the times it freezes.
Can anyone suggest a cause for this and a possible way to avoid it?

The third issue is that after working in XP Mode for various periods of time (from a few hours to several days) I lose the Integration Features: The issue above was one cause which I now avoid but it happens at other times when there is no obvious cause. It only happens when the VM has been Hibernated/Reset/Shut Down and then restarted, the restart might not be the same day. Both at start-up and if I use the Tools - Enable option a small window opens to say they are being enabled but it eventually times out.
I tried all the suggestions I could find to resolve this including uninstalling and reinstalling the Integration Components which I had to go to the CD drive and run the IntegrationComponents.msi to do as it was not picked up automatically on a restart and Setup.exe threw up an error message about a missing log file.
Among the programs I have installed in XP Mode is ERUNT and the solution I am using is to restore a registry backup within the VM from when it was last working, unfortunately this can affect other software especially if it has updated since the backup was made.
Besides looking for the cause I am wondering if it is possible to get a list of the Integration Components registry keys which I can export (if possible into a single REG file) so that I could restore them without having to restore the whole registry?

One final point I learned while looking into this although I do not know if it is connected: There is no Device Manager in the XP Mode Control Panel or anywhere else that I can find?

Apart from the above both Windows 7 and XP Mode appear to be working 'normally' if such an expression can be used about them.
