Using application that accesses the web in XP Mode

I'm trying to run an app that access the web using XP mode and I get this message and the little red ewarning in the taskbar. I have Norton 360 in Windows 7 installed. Do i need to install a virus checker in XP.

I get the message in the bottom corner of screen saying your computer might be at risk (remote).Antivirus software might not be installed.

Yes, install a separate AV within your Virtual PC XP mode. You can have a different one than what's installed on your Windows 7. MSE for instance, or the same, up to you. Just install the XP version for it.

I installed Avast. I posted on another forum and the answer was I didn't have to install one. But the message went away after I installed the AV so I believe you are right.

In the aspect of needing a AV for your Virtual PC, think of it as a separate OS, you'd install a AV for it just like you would your normal OS.
