I've been using Quicken 2003 for a decade. This is written for those being forced to move to Win7

I've believe I've successfully installed Quicken 2003 in Virtual WinXP under Win7-pro. Installing basic program was no problem. Getting check printing was the challenge.

I print check on HP LJ1006 a USB printer. You need to install report printer and check printer from within virtual WinXP. After opening Quicken from within Virtual WinXP you need to designate them as Report Printer and Check Printer as appropriate. I used Letter Size voucher checks, one per page.

KEY ITEM .. When done, close quicken, then under Actions, close Virtual application.

IMPORTANT... When starting up, (1) Open Virtual application , (2) on USB in top center, "connect" the USB drive printer, and (3) Connect the USB back-up drive if you use one, AND THEN open Quicken.

I print checks to make sure amount on check is amount in register.

Good Luck.
