Windows 7: How to connect microsoft news server fo Outlook Express in Virtual XP?

Recently, Windowx XP Pro was installed on VMWare Workstation.
It works great.
Then, in virtual XP, I see an active Outlook Express.
Since I started to use Windows 7, I missed reading newsgroups in Outlook Express with Win XP.

I tried "news.microsoft.com" or "msnews.microsoft.com" as news server.
It does not work: Unable to connect to the server.

Could someone advise me how to subscribed news service from microsoft for OE?

I know most of the MSFT news servers were shut down a few years ago, I'm not sure there are any left.

A few days ago, windows xp sp3 was successfully installed in Virtual Machine Workstation.
So far, it looks that everything works well like except for POP3.

Settings of pop3 and smtp in Outlook Express in XP were idential in iPhone, iPAD and the host Windows 7.
No problem with receiving and sending emails except for receiving emails in OE (in virtual XP).
No problemwith sending out emails from OE. I wonder what blocks receiving emails in OE.

Virtual XP is installed with AVG-free version. Enabling or disabling AVG, did not help receiving emails in OE. So far, this is the only problem I encounted in virtual Windowx XP SP3. Your assistance would be very much appreciated.
