XP Mode in Windows 7 Won't Set Up.

Trying to install XP mode in Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. Every thing works fine till the very end of set up for first use of XP mode. Then it stops & says XP mode setup failed to complete...says please try again.Any help would be appreciated.

Try redownloading. It is a large file and could easily be broken(don't know a better word) during download.

Do you have all Windows 7 updates currently available? Does your CPU support virtualization?

Well you might have to use a different VM software. Follow the tutorial on my video that i made for some reason. How to Install and Activate Windows XP mode in Virtualbox - YouTube

This no longer matters. XP mode works without virtualization now.

The OP doesn't indicate if he has SP1 or not in his specs. If he doesn't, then it does matter.
