Vmware workstation os x 10.7.5 connects to kb mouse but not usb drive

i recently installed os x 10.7.5 via vmware in an attempt to make a bootable mountain lion install flash drive. however os x 10.7.5 wont show\mount the drive at all but my keyboard and mouse funstion perfectly. ive tried swapping ports and installed vmware tools darwin.iso as well as multibeast drivers. It also wont show any of my other hard disks but not too worried about that just want my usb drive to show. also couldnt mount the darwin.iso through vmware virtual cd\dvd drive had to use drop box.

Darwin ISO is not licensed for use with VMWARE Workstation and that is most likely your issue. The Mac support is disabled in Workstation per Apples license restrictions.

thanks thats actually what I used to get it working. I had to disable usb 3.0 in bios since I have a ga-z77x-ud3h mobo and all usb3.0 ports no 2.0. that allowed me to mount usb drives inside os x virtual machine. thanks though. forgot to mark this as solved.
