Windows 7 HDDs not showing in XP Mode

    Hey ALL,

I have recently installed XP Mode on my Windows 7 Pro 64-Bit and initially the hard drives available in Windows 7 were available via My Computer in XP Mode (albeit with a totally unhelpful name - as network drives (I think)). I then proceeded as normal to let XP Mode Windows update whilst I installed ClamWin Antivirus - as it was free and simply as a precaution whilst XP Mode had Internet. Once I perceived that all updates had ceased I closed XP Mode via close in the Action menu.
Next day - I launched XP Mode and installed Jasc Paintshop Pro 9 and restarted XP Mode (never checked to see if HDDs were visible in My Computer) then upon restart I went to locate a file from one of my Windows 7 drives and there all gone. I check the integration settings and all hard drives are ticked and the integration is enabled. The odd thing is sometimes they show and others time not.

To resolve this I tried the following but all to no avail.
    > First I just did as probably most people would and restarted XP Mode a (tried this twice).
    > Next I disabled and re-enabled integration and restarted XP Mode.
    > Next disable integration at start-up, restarted XP Mode, re-enabled integration at start-up and restarted XP Mode. This probably just does the same as disabling integration.
    > Looked online for answers but found none relevant to my issue.

Any ideas would be gratefully appreciated.

    Thanks in Advance.

I haven't used xp mode in some time.. but if I remember right adding networking to it helps with seeing the system drives.

Have you checked that the host drives are shared with XP Mode:

Kari - Yes as mentioned in my initial post "...integration settings and all hard drives are ticked..."
    but thanks for the effort.

Dude - Networking was on as "Shared NAT", so I disabled and restarted XP Mode then re-enabled and set back to "Shared NAT" and restarted again. The drives appeared and after two times in using XP Mode they have shown, however as stipulated they tend to appear when they want to. Fingers crossed this solved it, Thanks!

I'll report back in a few days after using XP Mode more to test if all is still working.

    Thanks ALL! :)

My bad, sorry. I do not know how I missed that, no excuses other than the almost empty bottle of single malt next to my display which was full a few hours ago...
