Exactly what is happening now.
In my case, it always worked before - two virtual machines on the same machine, my laptop.

I'm sure a phone activation will do.

First, I will try what I described to derekimo:
"...I will try the other way around: will remove VMWare, install VBOX and then VMWare again, to see if the same happens now with VMware." on the same machine, as I always did.
