Like I said earlier, other virtual environments such as VirtualBox and VMWare Player (both free) offer much better support for other OSes such as DOS, early versions of Windows, Linux, OS/2, etc...
If you really want to play with a bunch of VMs either of those will work better than MS VPC. Their websites/documentation even have guides regarding setting up VMs with many different OSes. I'd recommend that you give one of them a try.
I checked out the VMware site. I didn't realize the free VMware player would work. I thought you had to buy one of their applications to do it. I'll give it a try.
I also want to see what the Win 7 system is capable of doing without additional programs just for general purposes.
