    XP Mode or another Partition?

Well, I have a notebook, but it was designed to run Windows Vista or up.
Like everyone know, the Vista is not the best OS to use, so I've changed to XP, but in XP a lot of special features of the notebook are disabled because it don't have any driver for XP.

Now I'm using the Windows 7, but I play some games a little older than the 7 supports

So I installed to XPM and can't play for there, I've read some things but nothing consistent.

So I want to know, is there anything that I can do to play games through the XPM or I'll need another partition just to play these games?
What are the limitations of the XPM, and what I can do to play old games in Windows 7?
