Win7 -> VirtualPC -> Win7 -> Windows can't communicate with the device

So I have Windows 7 as my host and in the VirtualPC I have Installed another Windows 7. The installation was OK but when trying to connect to the Internet I get this error:

Windows can't communicate with the device or resource (primary DNS server)

Now, apart from this VM I have 2 more VM's

Windows XP Mode

Win 2000

I have no problem with the internet connection in those two.

The network card options in the drop down list in the Virtual Machine Settings -> Network -> Card 1 is

  • Not connected
  • Internal network
  • Shared Network (NAT)
  • TAP-Win32 Adapter V9
  • VirtualBox Host-Only Ethernet Adapter
  • Intel(R) 82579V Gigabyte Network Connection
In all three VM's I have chosen Shared Network (NAT) and also rebooted and restarted.

So what can the problem be?
