I was too, but not any more! I went to
this page in IE8 in XP Mode.
1. Allow the ActiveX control that appears (which is why you need IE),
2. scroll down the page and tick "turn on clear type", you'l notice the difference immediately.
3. go through the remainder of the wizard.
Now you have at least got clear type enabled! Next is to figure out 32-bit colors.
