Windows XP Mode - Virtual PC - ? about shortcuts
OK, I have an issue with a program that doesnt work in win7, but it does in xp, so i set up win xp mode. Installed all the programs, pinned the program to win7 start menu. Now I have a program installed on win7, it is snapstream beyond tv. Now after a show is recorded, i have custom post processing that needs to happen to this file. What I need to do is pass this file to the application from win xp mode. I have the code, but I do not know what to use for the location of the application: See below.
<CustomTasks>
<Task>
<GUID>531E0175-87F4-4d6f-B464-E603BC641DAE</GUID>
<Priority>Immediate</Priority>
<PropertyCollection>
<Property>
<Name>Command</Name>
<Value>C:\program files\autoxvid\Autoxvid.exe</Value>
</Property>
</PropertyCollection>
</Task>
</CustomTasks>
The bold text is the value that i am having trouble setting. Normally, when all the programs are on the same os, that would be the value that would work. So it would open the recorded file with the autoxvid.exe program.
But now I have to have the autoxvid installed on the win xp mode virtual PC. If I look at the item pinned to the start menu, the target looks like this:
%SystemRoot%\system32\rundll32.exe %SystemRoot%\system32\VMCPropertyHandler.dll,LaunchVMSal "Windows XP Mode 1" "||fdac06b1" "AutoXvid"
I tried to put that in as the value, but it didnt work. How can I get the program, that code above, in win 7, to open the file with the program installed on the virtual pc
I have the official release of windows 7 professional
