VHD Mis-labelled as SSD in Defrag

    Hi,

just went to defrag. My localbigstore (a VHD, full of downloads etc, ~ 200g dynamic) thinks it's an SSD drive.

Is this because it was created on an SSD (which is possible, but I don't think is the case)?

does anyone know where/how this info/'status' is stored/recognised?

    Hello Jonny,

Is the VHD currently on a SSD?

You could unmount the VHD, and defrag the HDD the VHD file is on to have it included. Afterwards, mount the VHD again.

The volume was correctly identified as not being a volume, when running defrag on it from inside another install. All good. Thanks.
