How can I get the XP desktop to display?

I installed and activated XP following the instruction, activated and enabled the integration part with no issue. But:

XP loads, takes a while, but does not display an XP desktop. I can see the settings panel in the virtual PC. I can not see XP MODE Even after booting the machine! How can I get the XP desktop to display

Hi there
I think you must have hosed something up -- XP Mode does not require AFAIK activation.

If you have a FULL XP disc you can create a VM with VMPLAYER (free) - but XP Mode simply runs as an application on an EXISTING Win 7 Pro (or above). So if you've created a full XP VM simply fire up the Virtual software and "power on" the VM.

So I'm not sure what you are actually doing with "Activation".
