Thanks but my problem isn't with Windows 7 per se. My Zen works fine in the main environment. The problem is when I'm using the XP Mode, it will not get recognized by XP within windows 7. I basically gave up and switched over to Sun Microsystems VirtualBox. It's a bit more tedious to set up but runs much better than the virtual setup within Windows 7.

You might want to try updating the firmware from here, as you can see there are several flavors.
