It's not internet sharing as such, rather your xp mode's network connection is integrated into your host system's connections.
With the Huawei, has Windows 7 detected it and successfully installed the driver? If everything is ok with that then you might need to do some setting up with the software that the Huawei uses. Just compare the setting that worked in xp mode and apply it on Windows 7. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Lenovo ThinkPad T60 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit CPU GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) DuoCore T2400 @ 1.83GHz Motherboard Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) Memory 2.00 GB Graphics Card Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Sound Card SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays ThinkPad Display Screen Resolution 1400x1050 Keyboard Standard Keyboard Mouse HID-compliant Mouse Hard Drives 100Gb SATA Internet Speed Cable Broadband - 54Mbps Other Info Intel(R) PRO/1000 PL Network Connection

Thank u a lot for the reply, actually Huawei wireless terminal fts1201, is successfully installed in windows7, in the cd attached with the hardware , there is driver for windows vista , I used it, it worked, but the problem when I try to disconnect from net and disconnect again , here where the problem starts , the task goes endless and I cannot connect again unless I switch off and on the Windows 7 again, I tried compatibility mode since the Huawei FTS 1201 works fine on Windows XP, but the same thing happens, it is strange problem the modem is recognized by Windows 7 and the driver is successfully installed but I am still facing the same problem, I think this hardware does not have the right patch for Windows 7 that was why I emailed Huawei company for this problem they told me that , their device is working on xp and vista but they have not provided software for Windows 7 yet. So I was thinking of Windows 7, and xp mode , since the device is working with xp mode and I do not face any problem , I thought making an internet sharing connection between Windows 7, xp mode could solve the problem, I access the net from xp mode and I can share this connection with Windows 7, So what about the setting u said how I could compare between them | My System Specs | | |

This may have been answered somewhere else, but I am simply looking to connect to my regular office network within the XP Mode. I have some old programs that still need to be able to connect to the office network. | My System Specs | | OS Windows 7 pro 32 bit Memory 4 gb |

You compare the settings in the software application for the Huawei, from Xp that works to the setting in Windows 7 that doesn't. Basically making sure the settings are the same. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Lenovo ThinkPad T60 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit CPU GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) DuoCore T2400 @ 1.83GHz Motherboard Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) Memory 2.00 GB Graphics Card Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Sound Card SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays ThinkPad Display Screen Resolution 1400x1050 Keyboard Standard Keyboard Mouse HID-compliant Mouse Hard Drives 100Gb SATA Internet Speed Cable Broadband - 54Mbps Other Info Intel(R) PRO/1000 PL Network Connection

If you can connect from your host machine, i assume though a VPN software, then you need to install this software on your Xp Mode. Internet sharing via the Nic, wireless or bridge (NAT), isn't going to be an issue. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Lenovo ThinkPad T60 OS Windows 7 Ultimate 64Bit CPU GenuineIntel Intel(R) Core(TM) DuoCore T2400 @ 1.83GHz Motherboard Intel(R) 82801G (ICH7 Family) Memory 2.00 GB Graphics Card Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Sound Card SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio Monitor(s) Displays ThinkPad Display Screen Resolution 1400x1050 Keyboard Standard Keyboard Mouse HID-compliant Mouse Hard Drives 100Gb SATA Internet Speed Cable Broadband - 54Mbps Other Info Intel(R) PRO/1000 PL Network Connection
