how to use a tutorial while installing VM and linux...

I'm reading a lengthy tutorial on installing linux on win7 while using a virtual machine. how can I read along the whole tutorial in the midst of following its directions? the directions are way too long to try and copy/print. I have dual monitors if that helps I want to try this so I can net surf on linux which is supposed to be more secure. however my win7 is hooked t to the net all the time anyway so don't know if linux will be more secure then

You never need to exit Windows so there's no issue In keeping the tutorial open on one of the monitors.

You could print out the tutorial as a PDF file and use that to read while you are installing Linux on the virtual machine.

I don't know how long this tutorial is. Here is my short one for installing Linux (Mint Mate in this case) in VMware Player.

If you left click on the tile at my webpage you can read it in your browser. If you right click, you can download the PDF.

And yes, Linux is much safer to surf the web.
