    ANSWER: None of the above. You can install W10 TP to a vhd and native dual boot it (provided you have Win7+ boot manager). Doesn't affect your current install at all, and you can delete that vhd file when done testing (or when the preview expires). Nobody needs a hypervisor to test out newer MS OSes anymore...

    If you want to install W10 Preview in a VHD,you can see this tutorial:
    WIM ImageX - multi boot with partitions or VHDs

    I hope this will help you install W10 Preview safely. Installing in a VHD removes hibernation from W10,though. BitLocker will only work in the VHD (that is,if you have BitLocker in W10 Preview,it will only work for the VHD). However,it will run much faster than if it was running in VMware or VirtualBox.

    Backup your files often,should something go wrong.
