    Integration of files - Clarification

So, I'm looking at Microsoft's website about Windows XP mode, and they give a pretty vague description of "Seamless applications" and "Folder integration between host and guest." I'm wondering to what extent can you perform file integration between the virtual PC and actual PC. Take this for example: I have about half of Knights of the Old Republic (This is a game made for XP, and somehow I was able to get halfway through it before Vista pulled the ol' "Sorry we can't allow you to work anymore. That would actually be professional" stunt on me) completed right now. Am I able to access the game with all my data on Windows XP mode, or will I be forced to reinstall the game on XP and start all over?

Hi Java, welcome to the Seven Forums.

    You have to reinstall.

Virtual XP mode is a completely separate machine. All software to be used in XP Mode must first be installed on it. After installation the applications can then be launched from Seven, there is no need to first start XP Mode. It is started automatically when a XP Mode application is launched.

Start Menu > All Programs > Virtual PC > Windows XP Mode programs.
