No error message at all, it just will not start up. I have the program shortcuts for XP mode programs on the desktop and they worked perfectly for 2 days. Then yesterday the mouse pointer spins for a few seconds and then stops. I go to the accounts, all is installed as you mentioned in an earlier email. It will just not boot out of hibernation. I have spent 4 days on this, formated hard drive and reloaded Win 7 4 times to give it a clean system each time, reloaded the programs for xp mode 3 times. My AMD system is fully vitrual operational. XP mode works until I add programs into Win 7 and then it stops functioning. Somewhere the programs i add like Office 2007 and Outlook 2007 seem to mess up the reboot function for XP? At least that is my take on it.
I am thinking of just shelving my nice new 64 bit computer for a few months because there are still so many bugs with Win 7 and XP mode. As a business I can't spend hours and days trying to get something to work.
If there are solutions coming up though, please share them.

Why are you adding office 2007 into xp mode? It works perfectly in win7, only use xp mode for apps that will not work natively in win7.

    Hello,
Sorry, mistaken typing. I only have 3 programs in XP mode for my business. Everything else is in Win 7.

Whatever the case, i give up. I will try to do this in 6 months when the bugs are worked out. Right now too many fruitless hours producing no results.

Merry Christmas and thanks for the help you suggested. I did learn a lot about virtual machines but the technology is too young right now.

    All the best,
