I use VM's extensively and XP Mode is and always has been terribly slow compared to the competing products from Sun and VMWare. Even with the performance tweaks its' substantially different for me.

For this reason, I don't use XP mode, but rather VMWare Player 3 is my personal app of choice and has served me very well.
Well i'm not planning using it a lot...i might let now as the trick work.

    Thanks!

I think the tweaks make a difference...however I don't believe that it brings it to the performance of the other apps though. But mind you, I'm a pretty heavy VM user and am quite critical of how my things are performing and running. I'd be willing to bet that most don't spend enough time with the other apps to really see and feel the difference....that is just my gut feel.

NoN, no need to rep, your positive response is more than enough. Anyway, you can not rep old posts, I think the limit is two weeks or something like that.

I'm happy this small addition to options seems to melp you.
