Windows 7: i can not install Laserjet p1006 in xp mode

i am using Windows 7 32 bit ultimate , i have my xp mode installed , i am trying to make my printer laser jet P1006 work in xp mode, but it doe snot work, it is not being recognized as usb , in different pc which run windows xp , it is being recognized , any one has an idea who to install driver in virtual xp mode, if xp mode does not help installing my old hardware so what is the use of it
