Windows 7: Antivirus on VM?

Antivirus on VM?

i installed the XP mode alternative from VMlite as provided in the sticky, it says i dont have an AV (although there is one running on Windows 7) does the XP machine need one? or will it use 7's one?

You need to run an AV within the VM for it to be protected. It's just like any other machine on the network.
