Virtual XP on Window 7 Professional

Thanks in advance for reading about my experience and any insight that you may have for my set of circumstances...

After upgrading my Windows 7 Home Edition to Professional, I then activated Virtual XP so that I was able to use some programs that I used frequently on my old PC that had XP. They were:

    Acrobat 6.0
    Nikon Capture / Nikon View

Neither will install correctly on Virtual XP. As a result, I cannot use them in the XP mode.

    Any suggestions?

    Many thanks!

perhaps, these two programs need to recognize some hardware devices before proceeding to install?

Check if your vm has USB enabled, you run "devmgmt.msc" to check if you see USB hubs, etc. or plugin a USB flash, then try to install the apps.

    This is jusy my guesses.
