    Application Data in XP Mode

I have two programs that are only compatible with XP. I have installed them in VISTA and on WIN7 in XP mode. I get the same error when running the applications. It says it can't find the application info (ex. c:/docs and sets/all users/appdata/program/file). my question is....Where is that REALLY stored on the hard drive? Why doesn't this work out of the box? Please help any suggestions welcomed.

perhaps, your programs hardcoded those paths? on Vista and Windows 7, those paths are no longer exists, it changes to something like c:\users\All Users\....

I also noted that you have slash '/' in the path, on windows, it's supposed to be back slash '\'. Are those apps ported from Unix?

i was just punching that my mistake. i confuse the two all the time. as for the program app data, on a normal xp system the app data folder i assume would already be there and these programs would insert whatever files they needed stored there. on the VM side for win7 i dont have those folders.
