BCDBOOT failure needs help please

Seniors,

I followed microsoft step-by-step guide found at the link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dd349348(WS.10).aspx to create a wim image of my fully configured windows 7 vmware workstation machine.

the image which comprised of Windows 7 ultimate, office 2010, norton 2009 and other installations named myimage.wim was sized 17,323 KB uncompressed and 8,662 KB compressed

I cleaned the partition and recreated it using diskpart under the winpe environment. formatted the partition with fs=ntfs, assigned partition 1 drive letter=S and partition 2 letter=C and set S as active

I successfully copied the image back to the partition 2 (C and applied it.

But when i tried to complete my deployment by running the bcdboot c:\windows
i received "Failure when attempting to copy boot files"

Can you please help me on what is going wrong?
