Windows 7: Screen saver doesn't start auto

Windows 7 64bit
Screen saver doesn't start auto

In order to start screen savers, after I boot-up, I always have to go to the Control Panel, Personalizations and then reset the time (any time) in Change Screen Savers. After presing Apply and waiting, it works pefectly.

However, if I use some programs or go on the internet and leave the computer idle, the screen saver sometimes works and sometimes not - even though I have made no further changes to the settings

I have Windows 7 - 64bit in a very new computer with plently of memory and disk space.

Do anyone have any ideas please as this is quite frustrating ?
