Hello,
I have a Generic text printer installed in Windows 7 (it's actually an ancient Panasonic dot-matrix printer), and it can be accessed no problem through XP Mode.
In XP Mode, I'm using an old DOS program (DataEase for DOS) which only prints to LPT1. I can set up printer pooling to assign the 7-shared printer to LPT1, and printing from the DOS program then works fine.
HOWEVER, whenever I reboot the whole computer (not just the XP Mode machine) and launch back into XP Mode, it has completely forgotten the printer pooling settings, so I have to reset it before I can print from the DOS program again, which is annoying at the least and potentially troublesome for some of the employees here when they get their new computers.
Any way I can get XP Mode to remember that printer pooling setting?
Thanks in advance!
